Dental bridges are used to replace missing teeth in a smile. Dental bridges:
- Reduce stress on your bite, to prevent jaw pain and TMJ disorders
- Preserve the shape of your face and promote a youthful appearance
- Restore your ability to chew, speak, and smile with ease
At San Antonio Aesthetic & Family Dentistry, we work closely with our patients to help them decide if the bridging process is right for them.
How Do Bridges Work?
Dental bridges are fixed restorations that connect an artificial tooth or teeth to adjacent natural teeth or dental implants. Dr. Voges designs beautiful and durable dental bridges that will prevent your remaining healthy teeth from shifting out of place.
Your dental bridge closes gaps left by one or more missing teeth. The bridge bonds to the healthy teeth on either side of the gap, or to dental implants for additional reinforcement.
We may use various metals to fabricate your customized dental bridge. Gold, alloy, porcelain, or blends of these materials may serve you best to restore your full and complete smile.
Ensure a Successful Dental Bridge
Dr. Voges’ dental bridges have shown great success over the years. The longevity of your dental bridge will depend on the health of your teeth, gums, and jawbone. Practice good oral hygiene to make sure your bridge remains affixed for as long as possible.
You can expect for your bridge to last for up to 15 years. Don’t forget to stay current with your checkups and cleanings with your general dentist. Dr. Voges will examine your dental bridge to make sure your foundation is strong!
To give you the best bridge experience possible, we are one of only 7.5% of practices in the USA that uses advanced CEREC technology. CEREC allows us to create a beautiful dental bridge just for you in one easy appointment.
