Porcelain Veneers

What Are Porcelain Veneers?

No more than an ultra-thin covering for tooth surfaces, these don’t possess any curing abilities. Made similarly to CEREC® crowns, we can craft these in just one visit. Ultimately, if you’re teeth are healthy, veneers can improve their appearance.

Many patients ask if veneers are permeant, and the answer is yes and no. Yes, these fasten to your teeth permanently with tooth cement, and no, because there’s a chance they can be lost. This is a solution that will last you as long as you allow them to.

Durability Rating

Crafted with the same strength as enamel, these can suffer damage with improper use or negligent cleaning. However, most patients can expect a decade of service, and the longevity increases with solid oral upkeep.

Uses for Veneers

One of the quickest cosmetic solutions available, veneers can overhaul your smile quickly. While everyday use centers around correcting the aesthetics of smiles, many patients don’t realize these can be a solution. Here are excellent uses of porcelain veneers:

Cover up yellowing

Close gaps

Remedy cracks and chip

Improve enamel dullness

Provides alleviation for minorly misaligned teeth

Receiving Porcelain Veneers

Step one to a perfect smile is an appointment with Dr. Voges and her incredible staff. You can expect a bevy of questions aimed to pinpoint your level of oral health, along with an examination with the same goal. Healthy teeth make for a solid and stable foundation for veneers. Anything less, and you may not qualify.

These are wafer-thin coverings are still be too thick, which is why we will shave off a small amount of enamel to avoid additional bigness of each tooth. Doing so will ensure that all your teeth have matching sizes and that not stick out.

Our qualified technicians will handcraft your porcelain veneers based on your needs and preferences. This is performed in just one day with the use of CEREC® and milling machines. Same day, new smile.

Once we finish crafting each one, we will stain them to match your teeth. Even though we stain them by hand, don’t fear lack of precision. Lab-made veneers or the past and our CEREC® variations are identically stained.
