Dentures

When it comes to dentures, our office has many options available to you. Each one with its pros and cons, available based on your case. We invite you to schedule a one-on-one with us, and we’ll discuss what your unique treatment plan would be.

What Are Dentures?

If you’re missing or damaged an arch, these are the best restorative option for you. We understand that no two cases are identical, and one size fits all solutions don’t work. This is why our office offers full, partial, and removable denture options.

Full Dentures

Those who are missing the majority of or an entire arch would need a full replacement. Under this category, there are traditional and immediate. This depends on whether or not you allow your mouth to heal before placing your restoration.

Partial Dentures

Sometimes, many teeth are still salvageable. In these instances, we can work around them to fill your smile in. However, we will need to do a thorough examination to ensure the remaining teeth are healthy. If not, any underlying issues will need correction beforehand.

Removable Vs. Permanent

The original dentures dentists used are the ones you can imagine in water on a nightstand. While extremely easy to clean and care for, they have their downfalls. Often they require constant adjustments, and users would need to be mindful when eating or speaking.

With these, cleaning them consists of rinsing them with tap water and using dentist-approved denture cleaners. Toothpaste would have ruined them, as it’s more abrasive than what the dentures could handle.

As technology has gotten better over time, advancements have graced the denture world. These provide the same bit force as you had before the procedure, and they look very realistic. This superior bite force means you can eat whatever you like and never have to worry about them slipping.

Permanent dentures may be just as difficult to maintain as teeth can be. Since they’re stationary, you’ll need to resort to brushing them for two minutes, twice daily. However, while you should floss between teeth, doing so near dentures may cause harm. Ask us for tips and advice during your appointment.

Lastly, these will restore your confidence to a level removable ones don’t. You’ll never need to sacrifice or worry about anything. As long as you take care of them, this restorative solution can last a lifetime.
